I have no doubt that CRW will stand up for what he believes in - I'm just saying that the game isn't the same as it was 5 years ago. That's not a good thing, especially for the SoCon which seems to move at a slower pace than a lot of conferences. That has it's advantages for sure and the SoCon has been largely stable during all the conference re-alignment mess, but it's likely going to hurt our performance in athletics.

Former Michigan and Iowa QB Cade McNamara transfers to ETSU.
Once upon a time, my alma mater was a college football desert in the middle of SEC/SoCon country. But then ETSU leadership brought back football and brought on as head coach:
- Carl Torbush, whose teams were nothing to write home about
- Randy Sanders, who brought ETSU unprecedented success with two SoCon titles
- George Quarles, who basically ran the team into the ground AND GOT FIRED! (Bye Felicia!)
ETSU Football: Now playing in a football stadium near you.
As much as it pains me to say it, Healy will do well at ETSU. He can really recruit, and I think he's progressive enough to adapt to the changes in college football due to NIL/Transfer Portal.
I think a lot of SoCon programs/schools/coaches will struggle in this new era of college athletics.
ETSU also grabs former UNC QB Jacolby Criswell from the transfer portal. Had 2400+ yds passing after four seasons between UNC and Arkansas.

All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.
