The portal opened today - NDSU lost a few but all were guys buried on the depth chart so probably a beneficial move for both sides... I take nothing for granted anymore when it comes to contributing players leaving right in the middle of the playoffs since it has happened before and will likely happen again.
Another interesting note is that 2 of the 4 Heisman finalists are former FCS players in former Incarnate Word QB Cam Ward and former Jackson St DB/WR Travis Hunter. Dillon Gabriel is also a transfer to Oregon from UCF via Oklahoma (like Ward he's on his 3rd team) so only Ashton Jeanty is a Heisman finalist this year for the team that signed him out of high school.
