Two FBS games, a game against South Alabama that does not count as a Division I contest and then Bacone. Nicholls could very well be 1-3 or 2-2 at the end of out of conference play and for all intensive purposes, be 0-2 (if the only losses are to FBS)

Super psyched about the match-up with Bacone College.

It would be nice to have a decent home-and-home with an OOC FCS school. I liked seeing South Dakota St. and North Dakota St. down in Thibodaux. Jacksonville St. was a good choice last year too. But these types of games are too few and far between.

This is the state of the economy in La.

At the very least, the schedule is two mid-major type FBS programs. You probably are not getting paid more than $150-300k apiece to travel to them though. Wonder if South Alabama is giving you guys a guarantee, but can not imagine it would be that much.

Nicholls has had some pretty decent OOC games the last few years (Jacksonville State last year, South Dakota State, Samford etc.) ... Is Northern Iowa supposed to come down or was the 2008 game in Cedar Rapids a one-year deal?

UNI was a one-year deal. Forget how much the Colonels got paid, but recall that being asked last year...

Jax St was also a one-year deal.

I am sure it is a money game. If it was not, Nicholls would be listed on their 2011 or 2012 schedules since the initial game in the series has been set in stone on both sides....
