One guy has us playing TCU on their home field in the Armed Forces Bowl. The other dude has the Owls in a regular season rematch against Boston College in the Military Bowl.

Curt Cignetti's resume is actually very strong. In addition to being the head coach at Elon and previously D2 IUP, he was also an assistant coach at Pitt, NC State, and Alabama (and before that, Temple), and was the recruiting coordinator at both NC State and Alabama. At NC State, he coached Phillip Rivers and successfully recruited Russell Wilson (before Wilson eventually transferred to Wisconsin). At Alabama, he was an assistant on one national championship team (2009) and his recruits played major roles on two others (2011, 2012). IMO, he should be a serious candidate at Temple.
The favorite probably should be former Temple assistant and current Baylor associate head coach Fran Brown, IF Temple is interested in Brown (who is in his mid-30s) and former Temple head coach and current Baylor head coach Matt Rhule, who also coached Brown as an assistant when Brown played at Western Carolina, thinks Brown is ready to be a head coach.
If we do better than Collins we'll be looking for another new coach after next year. The whole situation is a joke and why I really don't go "all in" supporting the football program because it's impossible to truly build anything. Thankfully we are and always will be a basketball school. I can safely say Aaron McKie won't be going anywhere anytime soon.Quote:
