(San Diego, CA) - The USD football program received some good news today when it was announced that four of their student-athletes were named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America District 8 Division I football team. All four Toreros will now be eligible for the national team. The four Toreros include junior running back Nick Scudellari (Saratoga, CA; 3.66 GPA, Accountancy), junior offensive lineman Matt Peleti (Laguna Niguel, CA; 3.59 GPA, Finance), sophomore defensive back Robbie Beathard (San Diego, CA; 3.76 GPA, Accountancy), and sophomore defensive end Blake Oliaro (Folsom, CA; 3.62 GPA, Mechanical Engineering).
