Wouldn't they be more effective in the endzones? I'm pretty sure the coaches wear headphones.

That will be quite a difference from our previous trips......hope we get the same result just with more Towson fans disappointed!! ps-I saw Tom Ryan play in the Pa East-West all star game where he was the MVP. Looks like he's doing that for you guys. Nice kid. Great player. Hope our secondary limits him. psps--worried about our O-line too. Mccarthy & Dilima have come out of last couple of games. Hope we have depth ready to play vs your fast DE's.

Tom Ryan leaves it ALL on the field. He single handedly won the ODU game, turned a 4th and 29 reception into a 63 yard touchdown.

I think the game hinges on two things our KO coverage, which has been atrocious the last two games and whether our two DEs Beltre and Tucker can pressure Decker. Giving a short field to Decker AND no pressure will kill us. Regardless of how many yards and TD T-West racks up.

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Baltimore. Just so people know, I will be blogging on AGS about two conference championship-caliber games down here today, the Norfolk State at Morgan State game that will hopefully clear things up (or mess things up more) in the MEAC and the New Hampshire at Towson game a few miles down the road. Please feel free to drop by and comment on things, or ask questions.

I wish Comcast had a flex schedule package like the NFL has...this game should be on TV...what the hell!

You would think that the CAA would have something in place to deal with this. Last week, they showed a meaningless game between Villanova and UMass while Towson was playing at Maine. The Towson-Maine game was available in the Maine and Baltimore markets, but no where else.

Lafayette has shown all of its games for years (except for when Georgetown wouldn't allow the Leopards to broadcast earlier this year, with some stupid Patriot League rights rule).

Kyle Flemings makes the worst attempt to tackle in the history of football, and James Oboh has a 56 yard TE, making it 14-7 Towson.

I have been a skeptic of this team for a while. Like I said, we can score all we want, but there is no way this defense will stop any good offense in the playoffs, even if we get in. 96 rushing yards on 5 carries for West? my god, what a regression from last year

Final Stats

UNH - Towson

1st Downs - 35 21
3rd down efficiency - 7-10 6-10
4th down efficiency - 0-1 0-1
Total Yards - 611 517
Passing - 389 183
Comp-Att - 36-46 14-18
Yards per pass - 8.5 10.2
Rushing - 222 334
Rushing Attempts - 41 39
Yards per rush - 5.4 8.6
Penalties - 6-47 9-78
Turnovers - 4 1

Hey Jim sorry I couldn't meet up with you. My 9 year old had her soccer game go 2OT finish that ended in the PK finals going 3-1 them. I had to console her and didn't get to the campus until 2:30 and then saw my roommate who I haven't seen in 12 years. So I was delayed, and never made it to lot 13. Well, more than likely UNH would face a team in the first round that is not at the level of play Towson is at this year. So, I would think we would be likely to end up doing our dance to the Quarterfinals before face planting and losing big, most likely to Towson again.

Remember how poor our defense was when Santos was playing? And yet with the right offensive options we were able to overcome with those squads. While Decker is no Santos, he isn't bad and I think he has more option at WR and now Cullen at TE. They just need to run into a team that hasn't quite figured it out on offense. Also, yesterday was one of those funky days where no matter what Towson seemed to do it resulted in a TD. I don't think we would see another game like that against our D this year or for years to come.

Below is the CAAZone.com's coverage of the game. The second link contains five pages of photos from the game.

For New Hampshire fans - is the stadium near the airport? I'm considering attending the game against Maine but it's too far to drive. I'm curious of the logistics of flying to attend the game. Thank you.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is about 40 miles from Durham. Southwest, US Airways, Continental, United, and Delta fly in.

Towson definitely played the better game, but the pick-6 in the 1st quarter really hurt.

xbawlingx ....not to mention, the 2nd half KO return for a TD, and the two 2nd half interceptions in the red zone (one in the endzone). As poorly as UNH played (including losing the turnover battle 0-4), they gained 611 total yards, and just had to hold serve 1 or 2 times, ..... oh, my, .... xsmhx

Towson certainly deserves a Top 5 seed if they win this weekend. UNH needs a W vs. rival UMaine to guarantee an 8th straight trip to the playoffs.
