Alright, Chadron State! Sam Houston has played them before. Throw that game out and this is a really good schedule. OOC against UC-Davis and Colorado is pretty solid...

Bobcat Football Schedule Complete
MSU Bobcats Bobcat Football News : 2006-05-09 : Bozeman, MT
By MSU Sports Information

Montana State's 2006 football schedule includes a Big 12 opponent, a potential top 25 I-AA foe, and six home games

Montana State has finished its football schedule. Again.

The Bobcats and UC Davis agreed to move their game, previously scheduled for September 9, back a week to accommodate an Aggies game at Division I-A Texas Christian, and to fill that date MSU added Division II Chadron (Nebr.) State to its schedule.

Because Montana State's season ticket sales are underway, Bobcat season ticket holders in possession of tickets with the incorrect opponents and dates should use tickets that correspond to the date of the game, rather than the opponent. Those wishing to exchange incorrect tickets for the correct version should bring tickets to the Bobcat Ticket Office in Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.

For all the crap the bobcats gave the Griz for scheduling Fort Lewis last year, you would think that they might have found a team that actually beat Fort Lewis last year. :eyebrow: http://www2.csc.edu/athletics/football/stats/2005/05Stats.asp

A potential top 25 I-AA foe? I would think there is 2-3 potential top 25 I-AA teams on there.

Well you're 0-2 doing that, 1968 and 1994. You'd think lessons would be learned. :smiley_wi

I didn't. :dizzy:

Don't twist things around, I made no comparison or prediction. Look at what I posted.

I listed a fact. No explanation should be needed.

I posted this:

Chadron gave MSU a scare last time.

plus a link to the Bozeman newspaper.

MSU won 20-10, but came from behind and Chadron had better offensive statistics, hence the word "Scare".

The Bobcats also struggled on offense. MSU did take a brief 6-3 lead on senior Kasey Hartes perfectly thrown 83-yard TD pass to classmate Craig Galle just four minutes into the game. But the Bobcats did not score again until the fourth quarter.

Even though the Eagles dominated in both total offense (349 yards to 233) and time of possession (34:06 minutes to 25:54), MSU was able to make the plays it needed in order to win.

The Bobcats started their go-ahead scoring drive late in the third quarter at their own 13-yard line. And with the help of two Chadron pass interference penalties and a tipped ball, they were able to drive the ball 87 yards for the TD.

Chadron had MSU pinned down third-and-20 at its own 13 when the Eagles were flagged on a pass interference penalty in covering MSU senior Chip Hobbs. And although the ball may have been uncatchable, the Bobcats got the benefit of the doubt and the first down.
