Southland: No. 3 Sam Houston State Eyes Perfect Southland Conference Record

With its 38-9 win at Southeastern Louisiana last Saturday, No. 4/3 Sam Houston State clinched a share of the Southland Conference regular-season championship and became the first team nationally to lock up a league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division I playoffs. This week, the Bearkats play host to Northwestern State trying to become the first Southland team to finish with a perfect record against conference foes since McNeese State finished 7-0 in 2007.
