Albany @ Monmouth - I think Albany is a better team, but I am rooting for an exciting finale... So Monmouth in a close one.
Bryant vs. SFPA - Bryant wins about 80% at home and I think they win this one, but it will be close... especially with all the points SFPA can put up.
Duquesne @ Sacred Heart - Duquesne doesn't slip up here... They know what is on the line.
RMU vs. Wagner - Long trip for Wagner and RMU is the better team.

If you're rooting for an exciting finale, don't you want Albany to win this week? If not Duquesne will be the only team worth watching. If Albany wins then the SHU @ Albany game and Duquesne @ RMU games are critical.

I agree with you, but have a quick correction...

The Colonials make the short bus ride to The Bluff next week.

Even better! Two home games for the two teams that need big wins.

I'm looking at the NEC release this week, and it says that there is a 4-way possibility for the NEC title and autobid with two-loss teams.

But couldn't Sacred Heart work their way into the conversation with 3 losses, or at least the autobid?

Let's say:
* Monmouth beats Albany
* Sacred Heart beats Duquesne

* St. Francis beats Monmouth
* Robert Morris beats Duquense
* Sacred Heart beats Albany

Bryant could or could not be NEC champs, but the autobid would go to either Albany, Monmouth, Sacred Heart, or Duquesne, all with three losses. In this case, who gets the autobid?

Complicating matters is that it looks like Bryant's final place in the standings plays a part in the tiebreakers. If Bryant has 2, 3, or 4 losses (still a possibility), the tiebreakers work differently.

I think there is a better chance of Duquesne losing to RMU than SHU beating Albany... So the excitement to me is Albany loss this week and then watching the game next week with the chance of RMU pulling off the upset.

Albany @ Monmouth
A must win game for both teams. Monmouth needs this home victory if they have any chance in sneaking the NEC title away from Albany plus they need some help but this focus this week for Monmouth is to control what they can themselves.
I bet that October 1st L to RMU @ home still stings Monmouth
Albany knows they put themselves into this position and now they must win against Monmouth.
This will be a great game but I think a scared and pissed Albany will pull off the win against Monmouth. If Albany would have won against Bryant then I think Monmouth could have snuck Albany but Bryant woke up Albany and now they are focused on winning the NEc again.

Albany 34-31

Bryant vs. SFPA
Bryant + Home Game = W
Another big day for Jordan Brown

Bryant 38-20

Duquesne @ Sacred Heart
Dukes need this win if they want to any chance to win the NEC title. Sacred Heart needs this one too but losing to Wagner last week really killed their hopes.
I think the Dukes make the long trip focused and ready to play.

Dukes 36-17

RMU vs. Wagner
RMU is without their best offensive weapon in Jeff Sinclair. Now its freshman Matt Layman's turn. Layman entered the game against CCSU and went 12-16 for 163yds with 2TDs & 1INT
I expect a low scoring game with a late defensive stand by the Colonials winning the game

RMU 17-13

Albany: Took Bryant lightly & got a$$ kicked. Wont happen twice on Ford's watch
Bryant: Having another good year.
Duquesne: They are hopiing UA chokes away the season.
Wagner: Sinclair out = Wagner victory. Wagner has a decent rb.

Albany @ Monmouth - too much on the line for the Danes to blow this one under Ford's watch and Monmouth has been too inconsistent this year.

Bryant vs. SFPA - easy pick this week although SFPA sure can score some points.

Duquesne @ Sacred Heart - upset pick of the week. SHU looking to be the spoiler for the NEC this year.

RMU vs. Wagner - Wagner off a good win and RMU without Sinclair for the season.

Go Danes!

I should've changed my RMU pick after it was clear that Sinclair was out, but...

Congratulations to the Seahawks, Danes, Bulldogs, and Dukes on their victories today!

Well the NEC is much more clear now.

Albany wins and they're in.
Albany loses and Duquesne wins and the Dukes are in.
Duquesne loses and the Albany game doesn't matter, Albany wins the AQ.

It also looks like a lock that Albany wins the AQ too; I just can't see SHU winning next week.
