Sophomore kicker Alex Norocea (Hermosa Beach, CA) was named the Ivy League’s Special Teams Player of the Week after he accounted for all of the scoring in Brown’s 6-0 win over Penn, while senior outside linebacker Dan Smithwick (Danville, CA) earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors for his role in the shutout of the Quakers. Brown’s win over Penn is the second straight home shutout for the Bears. The victory also snapped the Quakers’ Ivy League winning streak at 18 games, and broke Penn’s consecutive game scoring streak at 136 games, dating back to 1997.
