But Tennessee has the #3 schedule while NDSU's is 1 better than Fordham.

No i didnt mean it that way...i meant there are some varying opinions on where they should be ranked, what playoff positioning may look like, if they would make it should the stumble vs the hoyas, etc

And to build on this, it's the weak schedule that is what makes these teams so polarizing, voting-wise. If either had, say, Cal Poly's schedule with their current records, either would be #1 or #2. It also is fickle - I've had both Lehigh and SHSU ranked lower and higher than concensus.
