Just received my season ticket renewal for Lehigh's football season. Season tickets for chairback seats (between the 30's on the home side) are $15 each. General admission for adults is $10 and children $5. (Students get in on ID). Our form also gives us opportunity to order tickets for the away games, too, and I see that tickets for the Delaware game are $18, which got me thinking...What do your schools charge?

yeah the double letters AA, BB, CC etc. but keep in mind that our highest point in delaware , Iron Hill, is only about 120 feet high. So we don't know what real nosebleed is. We much prefer the beach and sea level. But we will leave the beach when the hens play the engineers ($crew that mountain hawk crap)

Don't know what an individual ticket at NU goes for, but you can buy a "Family Package" (2 adults, 2 kids) for About $125 or something like that.

I think an individual ticket is about $10.

Most of the diehards buy an "MVP Pass" which gets them into all home sporting events for the season (M/W Hoops, M/W Hockey, Football) for about $400.

Hey, Colgate13, do you guys still have the same PA announcer that you had 10 years ago? The old guy had the bad habit of talking during plays, especially when the visitors had the ball! He also said "Hoo, boy" after the Gate missed a short FG in the game I saw.

Naw, he's been gone for about 3 years. He was actually a retired professor that does a local (Syracuse) NPR classical radio show. We've gone for a more professional approach since then. Nice guy (he's still around) but man, his mic was never off.

Single game ticets are $15, but that does not permit parking anywhere near the stadium. Season ticets with a parking pass begin at $135. going as high as $1100. For a 5 game schedule that's $27 to $220 per game.

(Since there's basically no parking left on the campus, I'd say the parking charges are moot.)

Yes, it will be interesting to see just how the seating will work out this season. You know, given the price of a movie in Georgetown, they could probably increase the price for a football game; it would likely raise a few needed dollars for the program. The people who attend now would surely pay $2.00 to $ 4.00 more and as for people who don't yet attend the games, I will paraphrase the great Yogi Berra: "If they don't wanna come, we can't stop 'em."

McNeese Season Tickets are $90 each for seats between the 10 yard lines. We sale about 7,000 season tickets a year.

Single game reserved rates are $16 each, and $12 for General Admission (Seats outside the 10 Yd lines).

Reserved Parking is only sold by the season and are limited to season ticket holders only for $60. If you don't have a reserved parking spot you must walk from campus, about 1/4 mile away.

Reserved Tailgating is $250 a year for a 23 x 48 foot spot. You must be a season ticket holder to buy a spot and there is a waiting list for the 110 reserved spots around the stadium.

I've said it before, once you get a decent facility that people like being in, and give them a decent game to watch, they will come. You location is right in the middle of a lot of activity which should draw. I expect G'town could become a force in I-AA once all the pieces are in place. It will help recruiting immensely.

Yes, I think you're right, however the DC area can be kind of fickle unless your team name is "Redskins". The new facility (serious construction continues) will have to include a representative team for the fan interest to build. This year could be pivotal. The Hoyas start with two away league games. If they can steal just one of them, it will get some attention and then they will return home to play an Ivy League opponent--the first time in DC for many years. For better or worse, the Georgetown population would be drawn to a game with an Ivy opponent perhaps more than a PL game if they think the Hoyas have a chance. Once there, they would see the new construction and momentum could build.

Of course, the other scenario could be that the Hoyas come home 0-2 and the only people that show up are die-hards, family of players and Brown alumni. I'm bravely hoping that they give us reason to fill the place. :o

Not to sound negative, But $27 and/or even $18? I take it you give away most of your seats? Why would I speand $27 for I-AA, even $18 really. $27 buys a seat a just about any BCS-level game. I can see that much for Box, loge, or maybe even chair back (depending on how much of your facility has backs) ... but reserved?

Also, "nose bleed seats"? Just because your helmets look the same, it is still the Wolverines that play in the "Big House". ;)

Washington Grizzly Stadium (http://www.montanagrizzlies.com/content/facilities/wgs.htm#about)

RockyMtnGriz: Good point on the attendance at Washington-Grizzly. It should also be pointed out that the attendance figures are skewed downward for both 2003-2004 because of the first game of the playoffs, a game that sells out in no stadium in I-AA, because it is played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and almost all students aren't at school. Montana has only averaged 16,256 for their first-round playoff games the last two years, but has averaged 23,027 for the other 16 home games they had there in 2003-04.

That's an average of only 90 unsold seats per game for non-first-rounders.

That's also why I make it a point of getting to the first-round playoff game--it's my best chance to see a game live, being a non-season-ticket holder. It's not my fault they don't sell out the first rounder--I've been to four of the last five.

Since capacity is 23,117, that means that other than the first-round playoff games, they've averaged 99.61% of capacity. That's pretty dang close to being a perpetually sold-out stadium, if you ask me.
