A sad day...Earl succumbs to cancer at the age of 74. He truly was an inspiration to Tiger, which was very apparent in Tiger's game and his life.

I had no idea his dad had the chance to play in the Negro leagues but turned it down to become a soldier. Very cool.

It will be interesting to see how and if this will effect Tiger's game in the short or long term. From my perspective of Tiger, I wouldn't be surprised to see him become more focused, if that is all possible...

No doubt in my mind, he will win a few big ones very soon for his dad.

By all accounts, Earl Woods was an exceptional person.

Tiger said he was taking time off until the Open, right? I would love to see him come back and take a major right off the bat.
