Flanders..... 152 att 806 yds 13 tds 5.0 avg
18 catches 279 tds 0 tds 15.5 avg

Flanders is leading the SLC in rushing at 108.0 yds per game, the Kats are 7-0 and ranked #6 in the country. Why is this guy not a Walter Payton Candidate?

Has DP been taken off yet?

Would be a good idea at this point...

I realize this won't happen because his stats at the end of the season won't measure up, but JMU RB Jordan Anderson is as talented a runner as you'll find in the FCS. He's only been a starter for the past 10 quarters, and here are his numbers:

85 carries for 565 yards (6.65 yards/carry), 6 TD's

The most eye popping numbers came against Maine. Excluding the JMU game, here are Maine's rushing defense stats (keep in mind they played Pitt and no D-II teams):
*104.8 yards/game allowed
*2.93 yards/carry

Here are Jordan's stats against Maine:
*26 carries for 212 yards; 1 TD
*8.15 yards/carry

I realize he won't win the award and probably won't even be on the watch list (especially because we rotate between several RB's), but he is extremely talented.

These nominations are futile at best. BJ Coleman is the winner and best player and pro prospect in FCS in the past 30 yrs.....by far...

In fact, if there is any justice in this world, change the name to the Coleman Award
