UNI must feel like they got a monkey off their back! First win over SIU since 2007! Nice job! The Bison getting their first win in Brookings since 1999 sets up a BIG one in Fargo next weekend!

Ugly game, but a win is a win. First time all year we have lost the turnover battle or even had more than 1 in a game. It was a very sloppy game. SIU deserves a lot of credit. Their defense looked really good for the majority of the game. Luckily our defense looked even better. We need to shore some things up before the match up next week. Feels nice to beat SIU again though. Was really disappointed with the crowd as it was not even close to a sell out like a normal SIU game would be.

Jewel Hampton runs really hard, and I was impressed. And I SIU has a good defense. I don't know how they can play close against both us and NDSU, but struggle against teams like MSU and WIU. They must play to the level of their competition.
