Lehigh Clinches #1 seed in PL Baseball

Lehigh won the first game of today's DH at Army, 3-1, which gives them a 13-6 record and seals the #1 seed for the PL Tourney which will begin May 13, now at Lehigh's Goodman Campus. Big battle remains today for the remaining two slots among Army, Lafayette, Bucknell...

Following up on the PL baseball situation. The second half to today's doubleheaders are complete and Bucknell will face off against Lafayette on May 13 at Lehigh's Goodman Campus. The winner will then enter a best of three series against the #1 seeded Mountain Hawks. The first game of that series will follow the elimination game, with the remaining two games, if necessary to be played on May 14. Lehigh finished the regular season 13-6, tied with Bucknell, but garners the #1 seed due to winning the seaon's series with the Bison.

I was at the second game today - tension was high amongst the fans as the second Navy/Bucknell game dragged on for what seemed like forever while at the same time Lehigh was losing their game.

If Bucknell had won the second game and Lehigh had lost, then Bucknell would have been the 1 seed.

We were getting our updates very sporadically - someone was calling the Army announcer and he was relaying scores to the broadcast teams.

There was way too long between the call that said it was Navy 13 Bucknell 12 with runners on the corner and 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth and the next one that said Navy had held on.
