No wonder you are struggling at Mcneese!! Put Janzen Jackson on the field. Do you know what Tennessee fans would do to have him in our Secondary still? What a waste of time to sign a player in trouble and then not play him.

Janzen is doing just fine. He is definitly a high risk, high reward player. He can blow up a play in a hurry but he can also get burned as well. He will be fine.

Something aint right because he was a dominating player in the SEC.

He has looked great at times and is as you well know very exciting to watch. The winning TD by Texas State was caught over him two weeks ago (it was a perfect pass and great catch). The week before that he was burned three consecutive plays by the same receiver. IMO he is still adjusting to a new defensive scheme and he is playing corner at time as well so that may be part of it. That's all this armchair QB has for ya, sorry.

The defense gave up 14 points Saturday. They are putting us in position to win. It is the offense that is struggling. He is getting reps in and that helps keep the secondary fresh. Nobody is out running him and the coaching staff has enough confidence to put him as the lone safety in the middle of the field. After listening to the LSU game, I don't think I want any advice from anyone from Tennessee since their own advice is not working for themselves but thanks anyways :)

LOL, he is the number 3 safety prospect for the 2012 NFL draft. He is a 1st team all SEC performer. He has proven his ilk in the toughest conference in America. He is almost certainly the best player on your team. You are delusional if you think he should be coming off the bench for anyone, let alone Mcneese State. BTW. Tennessee would obiterate you, with or without Janzen Jackson. Get real.

Tennessee absolutely sucks.
They are better than Georgia Southern at at least 20 of the 22 positions.

Okay? They still suck, and that's coming from a Tennessee fan (born in Knoxville; GSU is my #1 school).

Maybe the problem with Janzen Jackson is he thinks he is better than everyone else and doesn't play as hard as he could/should.
I don't know, I'm just playing devils advocate. I know it happens often with high ranking transfers to the FCS level. They think they are going to dominate and don't quite put in the work.

There is no problem with Janzen. He is learning a new position. He came in as a safety but the person in front of him is a senior who is a fourth year starter. They moved him over to corner to be able to have him on the field. Traditionally corners have the least amount of tackles of any defender on the field. no exception here. He has struggled a little bit to adjust to the new position but that is the position he is playing becuase the coaches wanted to keep as much talent on the field as possibel and that was the position they needed him at. It has worked for us as the defensive has given up an average of 272 over the last three games. It is not all about individual performance and Janzen stepped in and helped out where he was asked to.

Ding Ding Ding.....We have a winner!!!!!! Absolutely right, players at FBS schools expect to dominated when they move down. I witnessed this with several players from SEC and ACC schools while I was a player. Actually had better success with 2 players that transfered up from d2/d3.

Good theory but I disagree. JJ is playing hard when he is in the game and has produced some big plays. He is often at corner (where he played in HS) a lot of the time and as mentioned before is not in a position to rack up big tackle stats. (to correct the thread title he does have 16 tackles through last weekend)

Good for him, I hope he gets things straight and can continuing playing football professionally. So much talent I would hate to see wasted on several bad decisions.
Again, I wasn't trying to say that was the case just that I have seen it in the past.

The fact that Georgia Southern and Wofford are in the top 50 teams in America is dumb enough, bu then, you look at Toledo is higher than Florida State and Tennessee...ok somebody caught the short bus..
