An early 14-2 deficit proved too much for the Yale football team to overcome Saturday night against Lafayette at Fisher Stadium, as the Bulldogs fell to the Leopards 28-19. A pair of touchdown passes from senior quarterback Patrick Witt nearly fueled a comeback, as the Bulldogs got within 21-19 in the fourth quarter before the game slipped away. Lafayette cornerback Darius Safford had a pair of interceptions to lead the Leopards defensively.
