Elon should be really glad and happy with the outcome of this 1st half. Their defense is getting outcoached and outplayed. However the two Samford turnovers are the difference in this game. Samford could easily be up 21 points right now, but Elon has fought and this is only a one touchdown game. Samford is running the ball EXTREMELY well and Dustin Taliaferro (sp) is 11 for 11- 71 yards in the first half.

Elon's offense has taken advantage of penalties and bad turnovers, but no running game so far. Samford's defensive game plan is to put this game on Thomas Wilson's shoulders and except for the one interception. He has played very well. The second half should be really good.

we have three good running backs

many of us think the offensive coordinator is unable to use the personnel

we all have the question on why wilson is still starter

we all have the question why we are -11 in turnovers on the year and average 5 per game

why these mistakes are not getting better

Doesn't help that we've had a lot of injuries on the O-line so there aren't many holes for the guys to run through when we do run.

Good for samford, they seemed to let Elon back in the game at every opportunity. I'm pretty sure that The Citadel, Western, Elon, and Furman can be taken out of the playoff conversation even though only Western has been officially eliminated. Chatty, Elon, Samford, Furman, and the Citadel cannot lose anymore games and make the playoffs. The only team I see with a chance of doing that is Chatty or Samford.
