Five of the schools for the proposed wrestling conference already compete independently at the Division I level -- Northern Iowa, the University of Wyoming, Air Force, Fresno State and Utah Valley State, which recently made the transition from a junior college. Along with Northern Colorado, two others are making the transition from Division II -- North Dakota State and South Dakota State. Colonel William Walker of the United States Air Force Academy will serve as the Conference Commissioner.

From the "oldest wrestling conference in the US" (EIWA) to the newest, Congratulations! If you are ever able to get 'east' a visit to the historic 'snake pit' on Lehigh's campus is a must for any wrestling fan.:)
