Four games were on tap on Saturday, Oct. 1, in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Western Illinois upended No. 12 Southern Illinois with a TD in the final minute; No. 2 UNI won at Missouri State 42-7; No. 5 North Dakota State beat visiting Illinois State, 20-10; and #23 Indiana State won at South Dakota State, 38-28.
