He could be a 30 game winner. Does anyone know how the last 30 game winner was?

Your right it was Danny McLain in 1968, W-31, L-6, ERA 1.96. I think Garland might have a shot.

No because they started like 45 games back then with 4 men rotations, Sox will use a 5 man squad all season, if 1 goes down, Brandon McCarthy is waiting for the call up!

I seriously doubt there will ever be another 30 game winner again. Hell, winning 20 games now is great.

Very true, there was an article in the USA Today yesterday about Garland, and 30 game winners. They said Garland will start between 32-35 game, so he'll have to pretty much win all his games to reach 30.

With the dawning of the era of the 5-man rotation, many pitchers simply don't get the starts to do it. There are many pitchers out there, who have the stuff and provided their arms held up (big if) could do very well in a 4-man rotation and could have a legitimate chance at 30 wins.

Chisox are on a roll. Shame that they draw d**k. The Windy City's always been a Cubs town at heart. Dustin Hermanson as closer? I don't think his stats will stay as good as they are now. But, hey, enjoy it while it lasts.

Yea 19.1 scoreless innings and 9 saves in a row, I also dont think he can keep that up all season either!!!
-The SOx generally do not draw until school is out and the weather warms up, Im not saying they will sell out every night, but they will get 25k+ if the winning keeps up and the weather warms up

I'll be in Chicago in early August and hope to catch a Sox-Mariners game that weekend. Hope the Pale Hose are still motoring along by then!

I always wondered why the "White Sox" have black socks for in their uniform.
