It seems we can move the ball when we aren't fumbling or trying to pass on 1st down. This team has steadily improved from week to week. We still have a long way to go, but this win feels great given the circumstances.

UTC still hasn't arrived. Lack of running game hurt us again tonight, as did special teams.. This loss more disappointing b/c we BLEW A 27 POINT LEAD...congrats to the Citadel for a great come back...I felt the ASU game was a S*** happens...this game was a meltdown. Coaches and players have a lot to work on...Playoffs a long, long, long shot...will have to go 5-1 which at this point looks unlikely....but as a fan I haven't given up total hope yet.

In 2007 they managed a 7-4 record but have been 3-4 wins per year since. So not quite that bad, I mean Indiana State was winning 0 or 1 game a year.

El Cid does have a decent defense this year but UTC's loss is pretty inexplicable, considering their half-time lead.

Defense wqs key in the second half. We shut them down completely. Interceptions, then a blocked punt returned for 6 were timely.

We also learned to move the ball in the second half. I think we were averaging about 7 yards a carry in the second half.

If we continue to improve at this rate we will be in the rest of our games. Considering we lost our two first games by a combined 13 points, Id say we are much improved over last year. This game was an example of how our D can win games for us as long as the offense does its part.

I've watched games where GSU played Citadel and there weren't more than a few players on Citadel that could crack the two deep for GSU but the games were hard, physical, and close. I've always respected them for that.

They won it with defense...2 Ints and 5 3 and outs that included a block punt for TD(they also held Chatty to a field goal after offense fumbles on own 9 yard line)...But you have to give the offense credit too as they went 3-3 in red zone and last td was a 71 yard drive. Chatty's lack of a run game really hurt them as they could not even run the clock. Their coaches lost this one in my opinion. Play calling was really bad in second half. Perfect storm for The Citadel. They could never make this type of come back vs a run oriented team just because of the clock issues. Scored 28 points in 20 minutes with only 3 yards passing?!? I actually like the direction that Hussman (sp?) has his team heading, but must be able to run the ball to win week in and week out.

By the way guys...Citadel's defense is pretty good. Their offense is still struggling, but appear to be improved from last year for sure. Citadel still has the big dogs in the socon left to play, starting with woffy. I predict a low scoring game, but we will see.
