So I realized I hadn't done this for a while, but figured since I have some extra time now I would break it out again.
I know this is fairly early for this to be very accurate, but wanted to get it an early start. The premise is a BCS style ranking for the FCS teams. I used 2 human polls and 6 computer rankings. These are then compiled like the BCS does. The 2 human polls used are the AGS and The Sports Network. I chose the AGS because I feel it is more accurate and informed than the Coaches poll.
The 6 computer rankings are Sagarin, Massey, Laz Index, Born, Keeper, and it will eventually include Wolfe, but that is not released yet.
So take this as you will. If people don't like it I will stop posting it here. I just thought it was something interesting.
So here are the rankings:
1 Ga Southern 0.952
2 Northern Iowa 0.920
3 N Dakota St. 0.907
4 Montana St. 0.877
5 Appalachian St. 0.779
6 Wofford 0.727
7 Delaware 0.690
8 New Hampshire 0.608
9 James Madison 0.554
10 Southern Utah 0.521
11 Chattanooga 0.475
12 Sam Houston St. 0.456
13 Richmond 0.451
14 Southern Illinois 0.432
15 Lehigh 0.361
16 William & Mary 0.310
17 Jacksonville St. 0.274
18 Montana 0.251
19 McNeese St. 0.226
20 Maine 0.170
21 South Dakota 0.157
22 Weber St. 0.155
23 Indiana St. 0.154
24 S Carolina St. 0.134
25 Towson 0.127

I think in FBS, they drop the lowest and highest computer poll rank for each school

I am assuming we all share in appreciation of your work, but don't ya think this is a tacit endorsement of the BCS? Why not just stick to playoff projections and a real top 25 that counts?
We have a real champion in the FCS........North Dakota Stxreadx

Looks pretty decent, but as you say it is too early.....give three more weeks and you will get more of a true top 25 I think. Everyone will be in the meat of their conference schedule at that point.

I guess App State is #5 because the computers like Chattanooga.

Yes that is true and that is the way this one works as well. I copied the formula, but used the FCS rankings instead. Some of the computers the BCS uses are FBS only so I had to switch that up.

Yeah I mean Wolfe hasn't even put out his first computer rankings yet so I am only doing it on 5 right now.
I was just kinda bored last night and decided to see where it is at right now. I also realized I hadn't done this since 2009 so I was just working some of the kinks out too.

Which ranking did you use for saragrin?
Well I used the wrong one for this week, but will have it fixed for next week. I used the regular Sagarin rating, but since the BCS uses the ELO-Chess I will have to update that for next week.
