Brown: Brown and Rhode Island To Light Up The Night

The East Side of Providence will be lit up for the second straight season on Saturday, October 1, when Brown squares off against URI in the second ever night game at historic Brown Stadium, which opened 86 years ago in 1925. The game is presented by Dexter Credit Union, and will be televised live on myRITV, with kick-off at 6:00 p.m. Last year’s inaugural night game against Harvard drew a near sellout crowd of 17,350, the largest attended sporting event in the State of Rhode Island in 2010. Three banks of Musco lights will illuminate Brown Stadium, with two banks of temporary lights towering above the stadium on the home side, and one on the visitors side.
