Tried getting them all from a baseball site I frequent. I love the NCAA baseball tournament. Not a big fan of the rest of the year. How about Maine getting sent all the way west?
Lamar is representing my SLC and I think they are just behind Texas and Rice, as the third best team in Texas. Could really cause a stink in what they have as a tough bracket with Texas, TCU, LSU and Lamar.
Whomever wins the SWAC will probably end up in the Houston (Rice) or Austin (Texas) Regional. It'll be a tough road, but Texas Southern did upset Rice a few years back.
Can you imagine, Tulane, a three-seed? Elon as a two-seed with Baylor a third-seed in that regional, interesting.
Thoughts?

Yes! the Mountain Hawks are in the inside track to the PL title right now alone in first place at 8-4. Huge double DH this weekend with second place Lafayette (7-5). Rain could throw a curve at the schedule.

Watch out for Virginia in the College World Series.
If Virginia is in the Rice Regional as listed, they won't have a chance to make it to the Super Regional...
Rice won't lose a regional at Reckling Park and no one measures up to them in the quality depth on the mound and around the diamond...

Hey is JMU involved in the mix? I saw recently that they were ranked in the top 25...but I don't follow college baseball at all, so I don't know how they are doing, or how they would qualify for the World Series or what.

Kats can get in the SLC tournament and make some noise. Always seems the SLC has some team that shouldn't win the thing come up and win it. It's led to us getting two teams in the tournament, so that's not a problem! :D

Hosts are bid on and accepted mid-season. Coastal traveled to Arizona last year and was the #1 seed after Charleston didn't get their bid accepted.
As for JMU's ranking, not to make any JMU fans mad, but no one in the baseball world understood why they are ranked. Their RPI was in the 70s at the time, their strength of schedule wasn't real good. But they did absolutely beat the snot out of some teams (20+ margin in a bunch of games). I don't think they are out of the mix entirely, but any more losses and they'll have to win the CAA tournament to get in.
Of the I-AA conferences, the SoCon is rated the highest at 8 (.001 out of 7th). With Elon at #19, Georgia Southern at #63, Western at #93, Furman at #94 and The Citadel at #100.
Big South is #12, Coloinal is #14, MVC #15, Southland #17, Patriot #20, A-10 #22, OVC #23, Ivy #25, MAAC #26, NEC #29, MEAC #30, SWAC #31.
The Big South, SoCon and Colonial house lots of traditionally strong regional baseball programs.

Thanks...I really don't follow college baseball and just happened to notice that they were in the top 25 when I looked at the back page of the sports section in my local newspaper. So I checked out their stats and saw they pummeled some teams. Then noticed a couple weeks later they got swept...against Hofstra?? Anyways...if they get in great. If not...it doesn't matter, as I probably won't notice either way until it's too late. :o

LeMoyne? Who the heck is LeMoyne?
LeMoyne has made the NCAA tournament before...
They are in the MAAC with Niagra, Fairfield, Iona and that bunch...
They're Div II in everything else if I am not mistaken while playing Div I baseball. There's a school in Texas, Dallas Baptist, who has a similar case...

Yeah, they played NC State in the first round last year or the year before I believe, definitely a worthy team

3. San Diego (Big West at large)
None of the San Diego schools are in the Big West.
University of San Diego (whom is likely being referred to) is in the West COast Conference
San Diego State is in the Mountain West
Divison II UC San Diego is in the CCAA

Lafayette might be the PL team playing Virginia.. the Pards are on a roll and ahve the most wins since 1987. However they lost the series to Lehigh in April, 3-1.. but all close games.

Could be interesting. This is baseball, where anything can happen in a three game set, which is how many they play, correct? However, Virginia has been on a tear and we'll see if the 'Hoos can't cause some trouble for #2 North Carolina this Fri, Sat, and Sunday.
