Sam Houston State running back Tim Flanders was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the week on Monday after leading the Bearkats to a 48-45 overtime win at New Mexico on Saturday. The league office also announced that Northwestern State linebacker Derek Rose was named the defensive player of the week and Stephen F. Austin receiver/kicker return specialist was named the special teams players of the week.
