I've been trying to get a handle on SUU. The team doesn't have a winning history, and the early loss to what appears to be a mediocre (or worse) SDSU squad this year didn't help. The win over FBS topplers Sac State put them on my radar, and I ranked them last week with the second win over FBS ascendant TX-San Antonio, even though TX-San Antonio is a bit suspect this year with a loss to McMurry. This week's victory over a FBS team themselves cements it though. It looks like we now have yet another team from the west to pay attention to.

EWU was gone for me last week. Regardless of last year's success I can't see ranking a 0-3 team, much less a 0-4 team now. I think W&M may fall off this week for me to. With the only wins being against VMI and a DII school the Tribe hasn't really proven anything on the field yet this year.

Agree. The good thing is that quite a bit had been decided; my list of top 25 considered teams has gone from 60 down to about 35 (at least for this week, another 15 or so are still being watched closely).

One could rank 15-25 almost entirely in birds, if they really wanted (OK, they'd probably have to drop Delaware and GSU down, and vote for EWU, but with teams like SUU, Lehigh, Jacksonville State, Tennessee Tech, Monmouth, Tennessee-Martin, YSU - lots of birds to potentially choose from! (And a few stinging insects!) (Note: only a handful of those are in my ballot, but it was amusing how many bird-related teams are at least hanging around for consideration).

Having an 0-4 team anywhere near our poll or getting votes is crap.......you could play an NFL schedule be 0-4 and you still shouldn't get a vote.

The SUU loss at SDSU was the matter of stopped 2 pt conversion with 2 sec left. Make the play, get the win. Kick the PAT instead, tie, and go to OT. Miss, and lose by 1. The final was the missed 2 pt PAT, and loss by 1. Jacks have been on the road since then, and having to go with a new QB. SUU is 10th on my poll. Jacks were lucky to get that first week home win.

Yes. Had them @ 25 last week.

I'm a W&M fan, so I probably have them too high, but dropped them from #10 last week to #14 this week. If they lose at Villanova next week they are out of the top 20 and maybe the top 25 for me. If they beat Villanova next week, I don't see them rising, unless its a by a lot, and I don't think it will be.
