Allen Iverson and Chris Webber could not play last night due to injuries, but failed to show up until tipoff. These two individuals did not even make an appearance on the bench during Fan Appreciation Night.

The team president, Billy King, gave an explexitive filled comment about it after the game and said that such behavior would not be tolerated. He said he was upset and the fans had every reason to be upset. Maurice Cheeks, the head coach of the 76ers wasn't happy either as it made him look like he lacked control of his basketball team.

Guess this is the end of the "Iverson Era" in Philly and he went out without even showing up for what should have been his last game. Classic AI. I know what he's going to say, but hey, atleast this time we're not talking about practice...

Here's the link from the Philly Inquirer story that appeared in the San Jose Mercury News:

Hey, Webber has taken 80 games off all season. What's one more!!! xlolx

In all seriousness, I can go on for hours about why I gave up watching the 76ers 15 years ago!

Here's to the Sixers: the worst organization in the NBA. And they weren't even bad enough to get a good lottery pick!

Last night and in today's paper, Cheeks accepted some of the blame because of miscommunication with the two because of their injuries and the fact they knew they weren't going to play, there has been an allowance all year for such injured players not to have to show up until tip off. Certainly was not handled well by all concerned, however. Regardless, I stopped watching all NBA years ago...
