I didn't think he played all that well. The 49 yd TD was do to a long run after catch by the WR. I don't remember his stats, but I didn't think he turned many heads. Ochs on the other hand has really impressed me.

The stats are ok, but not earth-shattering. He's only at 6 yds per attempt and just 10 yds per completion there, and those are inflated by one 49 yard pass which someone above said was more of the WR's YAC as opposed to a deep throw. Has anybody seen him play yet? Stats are hard to go by, especially in Europe - if anybody (W&M backers I would guess) has seen him play I'm curious if he's making enough of an impression to find a home next year.

Here is Lang's stat line for the season. I would give him an "OK" rating for the season thus far, also.
Att Comp Pct Yds Avg TD Lg Int
L.Campbell, Ber (CLE) 113 65 57.5 743 6.58 4 68 4
(Better than Andy Hall's last year, though)
Ochs does not show on the "NFL Europe Leaders" stat page. Either he does not have enough attempts, or is not in the top six in passer rating.

Ochs has played real well. Lot of dropped passes by WR's. He is not leader because lack of playing time. Here are his stats.
Ochs, C (BUF) 45 29 387 64.4% 8.60 3 6.7% 1 2.2% 34 1/11 104.6 xcoffeex

Lang will get a full look from the Browns during their camp. They were very pleased with his performance last year, and were happy when no one else picked him up, so they could resign him. Winning the starting job at Berlin is good evidence of how he's performed. His chances are much better this year, with Johnson gone, and Charlie Frye likely to be the starter. Browns watchers last year thought Lang was more advanced skillwise than Frye. Browns have also chosen to run Lang's diary from Europe on their website. He's also gotten much bigger, carrying around 220 now. His listed height has been a source of amusement in Williamsburg. Originally listed by the Browns as 6'1", he's now listed at 6'2", but anyone who's stood next to him knows that he's taller than that.
Rich Musinski has also shown well for Berlin. He earned a start on Monday night.

Thanks for the view - I agree, getting the starting nod is a good sign. I'm still not sold on how much of a look he'll get from Cleveland, but he could certainly be the 3rd QB. They're really high on Frye so he'll have a really long leash in terms of being the starting QB. And they still have Dilfer, don't they? He's a solid backup. But barring something strange happening Campbell should get the 3rd spot.
I'm not sure Musinski is ever going to get much more of a look than he has now. Unless he plays like a god they are always going to hold that size against him. Great player, especially in college, but will more than likely continue to be looked over (no pun intended).

Browns will take 4 QBs into camp. Frye is clearly the frontrunner, and they also have Dilfer on the roster. The fourth is Derek Anderson from Oregon State, who they picked up off waivers from Baltimore last September. Lang will be going against Anderson for a spot that will look better after Dilfer is gone...probably at the end of next season. Of course with the 12th pick, the Browns could have a top QB still available in the draft, and that would change the equation. Defense is clearly their priority, but if one of the top 3 QBs were available, I doubt they would pass.
Should get some feedback from Rip Scherer in June, as he usually attends the W&M football reunion.
