Sam Houston State wide receiver Richard Sincere and safety Darnell Taylor were named the Southland Conference offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, on Monday after leading the Bearkats to a 31-10 victory over No. 18/18 Central Arkansas in the conference opener on Saturday. The league office also announced that McNeese State wide receiver/return specialist Darius Carey was named the special teams player of the week.
