Holy Cross scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 7th inning to end Lehigh's 44 game winning streak in the League, 4-3, up at Worcester, MA. Lehigh bounced right back to win the second game 4-1 and the series 3-1 to open up a five game lead over second place Army. Super frosh Lisa Sweeny pitched a 3-hitter to run her record to 19-3;one short of Lehigh all-time wins for a pitcher.
So the all-time consecutive winning streak is over. This is one record that could stand for a long, long time.
Next up, the weemen of Colgate next weekend at Kauffman Field. Game starts just as the football team's Brown & White scrimmage will be ending.
