Yes, a pitchers duel was played today in Denver. I don't believe it!
As an aside, the Jimmy Rollins hitting streak is at 2 games. He's hit safely in 9 of 11 games this season!

And Ryan Howard's second HR of the season is the game winner! Didn't get to se the game due to family commitments, but looks like Meyers was the bulldog he can be if his head is screwed on right. Gordon got his fourth save. So after a shakey start, it appears the Phils have righted the boat and can start working away.

Now, the Phils come home from a 4-2 road trip to the friendly confines of The Cit, where they're ....1-5!
Good win today, but let's face it: this isn't a playoff team.

Not with the middle relief the way it's been blowing up in the 7th or 8th innings. What we've seen is not surprising. This is a very good offensive and defensive team; but there isn't enough quality pitching on this staff. I wouldn't be surprised if Cole Hamels gets called up later and Madson goes back to the 'pen.

Wow - almost as impressive as Hideo Nomo's No-hitter in Colorado years ago.
