Anyone have any info about the search for a new men's b-ball head coach at UNCW? The former coach up and went to Wright St, (kind of quickly I might add...something go down???) I heard the the NDSU head guy was a candidate. Is that true? Whats up?

He is interviewing today. UNCW pay is about $180,000, much more than NDSU can pay this early in DI transition. :(

Something bad must of happened at UNCW for that guy to bounce so quick. He had a good team.

Hard to say why UNCW's coach left, money?

We would hate to see Miles leave, but that is the nature of the game in NCAA basketball. He also has some good assistants, and another that left and turned a losing NAIA program into a winner. Hopefully we could get one of them to come in if Miles were to leave.

UNCW's coach left because he didn't get along with the AD.

The front-runner is supposedly Rodney Terry, former UNCW assistant who's now an assistant at Texas.

I think K State's assistant was in the running too but backed out. It just seems wierd to go from UNCW to Wright St. That is a step down for him.

You folks need to update your college realignment page a bit more, though I do enjoy your pages thoroughly. Seems you just shuffled the new schools to I-AA up, but there's lots on there that is so outdated (namely news regarding GWFC schools)...

The grid is for ALL SPORTS. Had NDSU and SDSU made it to the Big Sky, they'd be sitting there next to NoCo in the Big Sky section.
