FCS against FCS matchups proved to be the most intriguing games in the first week for the Southern Conference and the Big South

As usual, most of the opening weekend games involved inter-division pairings.
They were primarily FBS versus FCS, and for the most part there are few things to take away from those contests (though Stony Brook forcing UTEP to go to overtime was interesting).
The five FCS-versus-FCS games represented the intriguing part of the weekend for me.
