Former Bearkat and current restricted free agent Keith Davis may be joining his fellow Bearkat, the TexasTerror, in New Orleans! :)

The Saints signed Dallas Cowboys restricted free agent safety Keith Davis to an offer sheet Monday. The Cowboys will have seven days to match the offer once it's turned into the league office. Since Davis was undrafted out of college, Dallas is not eligible for a compensatory draft pick if it loses him.
Davis, 27, started 15 games at free safety last year, but he has earned his reputation on special teams, where he excelled on kick coverage units.
The 5-foot-11, 207-pounder is considered more of a natural strong safety than free safety. He had 66 tackles last season, but the Cowboys reportedly hoped to upgrade at the free safety position.
Davis has made huge strides during the past two years. He was released by the Cowboys in the summer of 2003 after suffering from gunshot wounds to his elbow and right hip sustained as a bystander in an altercation. He reportedly was picking up a friend at a Dallas strip club when shots rang out.
