Several offensive linemen are making the move over to the defensive line. Kats have a very big O-Line and we'll see how some of these offensive guys do on the D-Line. For all we know, they could open up the season back on the O-Line, but it's always good to see what guys can do in other positions...

With an emphasis on deciding on a quarterback and finding some guys to step in and take some handoffs before spring drills are over, the Sam Houston State football team also has some needs on defense.

For the first time in a few seasons, defensive tackles John Griffin and Jeff Mayhew will no longer be wreaking havoc in opposing backfields.

The Bearkats do have some backups on the roster that stepped in and saw some action last season, but this spring, the coaching staff is hoping to see some folks move in and claim the starting positions on the inside.

So far, Brandon Villanueva, who served as a backup last season, and a couple of conversions from the offensive line have turned a few heads.
