Kickoff scheduled for 1 pm PDT from newly remodeled Jeld-Wen Field in downtown Portland. The time was moved up to avoid conflict with the Oregon/LSU game later in the afternoon. The first game of the year for the Vikings who are hoping for improvement over last year. This is the second year for Coach Burton at PSU, who has said he will not name a starting quarterback until game time, although indication is that Connor Kavanaugh will get the start over Drew Hubel. This is the second game of the year for the Raiders, who opened their season last week with a double overtime loss to Montana Tech. The Raiders are playing an independent NAIA schedule this year in preparation for their move to the NAIA's Frontier Conference next year. Weather should be sunny with temps in the 80's, approaching 90 as the game is played.
