The expansion appears it would hold more than 5,000. That will be one nice place.

Really nice expansion! My only gripe is that its a shame they don't move the field to the current grandstand a bit and then build the expansion. Judging from the pictures, that side is pretty far from the action. (I've never been there though, so it may be different in person)

It is great that they're gonna move the track though.

Do we see a I-A move in the future for WKU??

I know that would be good for us Bison fans. Then maybe the Gateway would let us in.:D

When will the renovation be projected to be completed by? Another question to pose: If WKU does stay I-AA for a few more years could it be possible that they can move the I-AA national championship game to Bowling Green? Just a thought. Based on the responses being received so far it is a positive change for the university. It has been 5 years since I graduated for WKU, and I have seen so many advancements to the campus since I left. The journalism building didn't even exist while I attended WKU and now it is on the center of campus it is simply amazing to see the vast changes that has occurred and it makes me proud to be a Hilltopper alum.

OK so I know I'm an idiot here, but currently one side is up and the other is empty. In this model which is the new side and which is the pre existing side?

After the expansion is done reports have it seating approx 25,000. Right now it sits approx 17,000. I believe people will be able to sit on bluffs behind the endzones

The field is being moved closer to the existing grandstand with the removal of the track. The field will be as close as it can be while still having proper field of vision from each seat.

Also worth mentioning, in the new side of the stadium it will have Club Level seating with an indoor concession area with tvs and tables and fans will be able to go from their outside seat, to the club area.

That is one awesome looking stadium.
Obviously 1-A plans are in the future.

By the way Duquesne is also involved in stadium expansions. For all home games this year, students will be allowed to bring a chair from the cafeteria to place on the concrete bleacher that is now the student section. Evidently one of the 4 students that attended games last year complained that sitting on the one concrete bleacher assigned for students caused haemorrhoids.

SERIOUSLY WHEN WILL THE NEW AD GET HIS HEAD OUT HIS A** AND EXPAND THE STADIUM? :bang:

Looks sweet!

Only thing I don't like is the oversized press box. It limits future expansion possibilities (see Byrd Stadium at U. of Maryland). It also cuts off the fans in the upper deck of the new section from the rest of the stadium and looks like it blocks their view of the other endzone. : smh :

It is not an oversized press box..it is club level seating
