Frank Tavani, John Loose and Mickey Fein having been preaching for months about the strength of this year¡¯s recruiting class. And just Saturday morning, before Lafayette¡¯s intrasquad scrimmage, Loose said again that when you combine this year¡¯s class with last year¡¯s class, you have a better two-year crop than at any time in the previous 10 years.
Lafayette has had some pretty talented football players during the Tavani era, I thought it was a bit premature to make such a dramatic comparison by using one group that has the experience of a 2-9 season and another that has no experience at all.
Saturday morning changed my thinking.
