ILS QB Luke Drone will miss Spring ball due to a sports hernia. He is expected to be ready when the season opens at K-State

Drone actually participated in spring practice yesterday throwing some short hook patterns with the receivers, and crossing routes.

Looks like he's a quick healer, but if you check the thread on Illinois State opens spring practice, you'll find that the backups Cirafesi and Brockway are doing a more than adequate job.

Brockway has already connected on two 80 TD's in the first three days of camp. One to "Mr. Payton" Laurent Robinson, the other to Dan Passarelli.

Looks like unlike last year, the Redbirds don't have the question marks at the QB position. Drone is just a junior, both Brockway and Cirafesi are just Sophomores.
