Brown received two first place votes in the 2011 Ivy League Preseason Media Poll and was picked to finish fourth overall behind Penn, Harvard and Yale. The Bears have captured two Ivy Championship in the last six years, and finished second in the Ivy standings a year ago with a 4-2 league mark.
