Football fever has been building around the Gallatin Valley since the completion of Montana State University’s last campaign. On Friday, the fever will break as 90 Bobcats hit the practice field for the opening of fall camp on the MSU campus.
The ‘Cats enter 2011 on the heels of a 9-3 season that included wins over eventual FCS national champion Eastern Washington and rival Montana in Missoula. The Bobcats shared the Big Sky Conference title and hosted a playoff game for the first time under head coach Rob Ash. Media outlets across the country are tabbing MSU as a Top 10 team. Optimism surrounding the program is sky high.
