One month from today, the UMaine Football team begins their 2011 season with a home game against Bryant. The Black Bears are moving back on campus this week before opening up training camp on Sunday.
The Black Bears are coming off a 4-7 season with a 3-5 record in the CAA. This year the Black Bears have one of the toughest schedules in the Football Championship Subdivision. College Sporting News has released their preseason top 25 for the upcoming season. Four of the top 14 teams in the nation are on the black bears schedule this fall. The tough challenge doesn’t seem to bother the Black Bears, they are looking forward to it.
Pushaun Brown - UMaine Running Back
“That’s not nothing really new we usually a lot of CAA teams are in the top 25 so we just got to come ready every week. There’s not going to be any slack. If you fall asleep for one week, one moment, you could lose any game in the CAA… That’s any team from the top of the conference to the bottom.”
