Man, I'd love to see Bradley win. My apologies to any Duke fans (or Memphis fans for that matter), but I'd love to see Duke lose too. Everybody hates a dynasty if it's not their team. Just kind of tired of Duke. :twocents:

What's the deal with CBS showing how much time is left during HALFTIME of the LSU-Duke game? Never seen anything like that in my life...

Duke winning over LSU eliminates a few folks from my pool (gotta love being in NOLA)...
If Memphis falls to Bradley, I won't mind as I have Memphis losing next round as is and we got folks with the Tigers in the final four instead of UCLA or Gonzaga...

I haven't seen a softer Duke team in a long time. They lack serious attitude and swagger.

This LSU loss is no good...I may have just lost all my pools. A Duke win over LSU would've eliminated half of my major competition...now I'm definitely in some trouble....

In the SHSU pool, I went from 12th to 15th (after the LSU win over Duke) to 10th (following the Memphis victory).
This is the Facebook one...not too bad. I'm moving on up! :)

Duke becomes the first #1 seed to lose this year, ensuring the streak that there never has been 4 #1 seeds in the Final Four

Agreed. Priority one for me was a Bradley victory, but at least Duke lost. For me, Duke is up there with the Dallas Cowboys and the Yankees. Too much success and too many fans (mostly because I'm not one of them). xlolx

Gonzaga up 31-16. UCLA looks horrible on offense; a typical Ben Howland coached team.

Yeah, sucks for Morrison, he didn't even touch the ball in the last minute or so. Might be the end of his college career

Yeah feel bad for the Kid he is an awesome competitor thats why i love watching him play. I hope he comes back for another season. The ball should have been in his hands every second in the last two minutes, his teammates paniced in waning moments of the game, and fell apart.

Thanks to BC's loss...my bracket is busted. I've lost two of my Final Four teams (BC, Duke) and have lost three of my Elite Eight teams (BC, Duke, Michigan St)...

Another great finish tonight.
Most humbling surprise for me: Gonzaga coming this far in the tournament, and UCLA needing a miracle to beat them. Folks, the WCC wasn't all that strong this year and maybe the Zags really were overrated heading into the tournament. Towards go-time however they returned to the peak they hit at the beginning of the season (ie Maui Tournament) and almost knocked off the hottest team in the tourney (aside from Memphis) in UCLA. I picked Gonzaga to get beat by Indiana in the first round after they barely survived the WCC Tournament. Props to Mark Few, Adam Morrison, and company for reminding us that Gonzaga is STILL for real.
Where the hell did George Mason come from? It's incredible to me how this is the first time this program has won ONE game in the tournament (let alone go to the Elite Eight) -- and their players and coach act like it's nothing. They are ironically one of the most, if not, the most relaxed team in the tournament right now. You gotta be impressed with the way they have been methodically dismantling Michigan State, North Carolina, and now Wichita State. This is a Cinderella team that knows what they are doing the entire time, and they don't get caught up in the moment or lose composure. Don't be surprised if they head to the Final Four.
Tonight ends the roller coaster of a team that is the Washington Huskies. This is a Jekyll & Hyde team that, hid their stride tonight to take UConn to overtime after all but dominating the first half. Washington has been up and down all season, and maybe had a wake up call in the Pac 10 tournament against your's truly's Oregon Ducks (the Pac 10's underachiever of the year). I was happy to see UW go down because I think they are all that is wrong with the planet, but they will be damn good again next year.
Florida: Are they back to the ways of old when they started off 17-0? Georgetown, in my opinion, was not one of the stronger teams in the tournament so it is still tough for me to tell how good the Gators really are.
My thoughts for the Elite Eight
George Mason vs. UConn
This is my upset pick. George Mason is not intimidated by anyone, and UConn just squeaked by a Washington team that still leaves one questioning their abilities. George Mason by three.
LSU vs. Texas
LSU plays a grind-it-out, ball control game. I'm not sure Texas has another miracle left in them. LSU.
Villanova vs. Florida
This is a tough one to call. It's tough to tell whether this is the Florida of the start of the season when they had such a great start. Villanova just silenced the dark horse that is Boston College, but by only one point. This is a toss up.
Memphis vs. UCLA
These are the two hottest teams in the tournament, but for completely different reasons. Memphis can outscore anyone, anytime, with a flashy pour-it-on offense. UCLA slows their opponents down and spreads the ball around often breaking down teams in the paint. I'm going with Memphis in this one.

For the sake of my pools...
UConn - I gain points if they win the national title
Texas - Too many LSU folks in my pool.
Villanova - I think there are some people who have Florida in the Final Four that need to be shook off
UCLA - Have them in the Final Four
