NEC coaches teleconference is scheduled for tomorrow (Aug. 3) and fans can ask questions.
Somerset, NJ - The Northeast Conference is hosting its annual football preseason media teleconference on Wednesday, August 3, and YOU can be a part of it. Each of the league’s nine head coaches will field questions from media members during the call, and, for the second straight year, fans will have their chance to get in on the conversation. Fans have the opportunity to submit questions to the NEC office, and a select few will be asked during Wednesday’s teleconference.
Prior to the coaches’ Q&A segment, the NEC will release the results of its annual preseason poll and announce the 25 members of the Preseason All-Northeast Conference team.
Central Connecticut was the 2010 preseason favorite and went onto tie Robert Morris for first place in last year’s final regular season standings. By virtue of a head-to-head tiebreaker, however, Robert Morris, which was tabbed second last preseason, earned the NEC’s inaugural automatic bid into the NCAA FCS playoff bracket.
To find out which of the two, if either, will be named the 2011 NEC preseason favorite, visit northeastconference.org on August 3. For other football news as well as an alternate take on the NEC, visit Overtime! The Official Blog of the Northeast Conference.
All fans who submit questions will be automatically entered into a raffle for official Northeast Conference apparel. The drawing will take place following the teleconference and three lucky winners will be notified via e-mail.
