Though he had to wait out the extended NFL lockout, Harry Flaherty '11 will soon be playing football again. The two-year Princeton starter was one of 20 undrafted free agents to sign a contract Wednesday with the New Orleans Saints.

"I am excited that Harry Flaherty has signed with the New Orleans Saints and has an opportunity to play in the NFL," head coach Bob Surace said. "His versatility as a tight end, fullback and on special teams will help him as he pursues a spot on their team.

I believe his father, Harry Sr., is Holy Cross' all time leading tackler. He was a 4 yr starter at LB, playing on some great HC teams in '82 and '83. He also played in the USFL and for the Cowboys back in '87.

You are correct. Harry Sr. played at Holy Cross and then with the Cowboys and USFL. Very good guy.
