I can't believe Adam left. I thought he was a Patriot through and through.

This is why rooting for college teams is much more fun and pro sports/free agency sucks horribly... your favorite team losses your favorite player always!... rooting for the Pats and Red Sox has defeinetely taken a hit since the souls of the team are leaving..

..at least I'm happy that I didn't buy that Viantieri jersey..

Agreed. I find this stunning. I thought Viniteri would be there forever. Guess the controlled climate inside the RCA Dome was beckoning in his 'old age'....:nonono2:

waa waa $$$$$$ does the difference! Sorry, Patriots but where's the money?

BTW, :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: To the best paid SDSU athlete

And I don't know how he's going to do in a controlled environment after all those years of wintery weather clutch shots.

Ugh...I hear you there...

After spending years hating guys like Jason Giambi, Gary Sheffield, Alex Rodriguez, Johnny Damon, Randy Johnson, Armando Benitez, David Justice, Roger Clemens, Daryl Strawberry, Wade Boggs, etc., seeing those guys in pinstripes can be too much to stomach (some have been worse than others.) I would only own a Yankees jersey with the number of a player who is retired (or a #42, which will never be worn again after Mariano Rivera retires.)

I am lucky that my growing disgust with the Yankees coincided with the arrival of the Washington Nationals about 100 miles from here. I have a blank Nats jersey that I refuse to get customized.

Of course, before free agency, old men in front offices made athlete money and a lot of athletes got off-season jobs to make ends meet. It's almost a no-win situation.

Nope, I would feel like a dofus wearing it in public, especially out in public since he is with the Colts. : smh : I opted for the Pats hooded Super Bowl sweat shirt at the time instead... excellent tradeoff.. it's very comfortable.

In regards to an above post, I can't get used to rooting for Wells on the Red Sox since he was a Yankee hero. I still refer to him as an explecitive.

One team though I do root for has kept their core players.. the New Jersey Devils. They are easily my favorite team. Broduer has been there since his rookie year in 1994, former fan favorite John MacLean is the asst. coach and will likely be the new head, Stevens played there 14 years, Danyeko played his whole career there. So did Nidermayer from 1992 until last year. Many other players played five or more years, and many current players have been there longer or just as long. I wish more of my favorite teams, like the Pats and Sox, would do the same.

But regardless I will still root for the Red Sox this season of course, it just takes awhile to get geared up for the start of the season.

Money talks. Adam did what was best for him personally, and that's what free agency has wrought. And personally, I consider it a good thing from a personal choice point of view, but obviously it sucks from a fan's point of view. I mean, my Steelers lose Antwan Randle El to the Redskins, which pisses me off. But I can't do anything about it, so oh well.
