The Colonial Athletic Association announced its football Preseason All-Conference team on Wednesday at its annual Media Day in Baltimore with two UMass players on the squad, led by senior linebacker Tyler Holmes being named the conference's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Senior wide receiver Julian Talley joins Holmes on the Preseason All-Conference squad. The Minutemen were selected fifth in the CAA preseason poll, garnering one first place vote.
