My Red Sox have the potential for a 100 HR outfield this season. However I fear this trade is a lead up to Manny Ramirez being dealt in the very near future.

So, who is pitching for the Red Sox this year? A decent move by the Sox, Pena is quite a talent, but again, their pitching has to be a concern. I'm sorry, Tim Wakefield cannot be the most consistent starter on a team for it to win. Moreover, is Schilling healthy again, or what? I'm telling you, Blue Jays are making the playoffs in the wild card.

Schilling is healthy this is what they have for starters at the moment
Curt Schilling
Josh Beckett (2003 World Series MVP)
Tim Wakefield
Matt Clement
David Wells
Jon Papelbon
Most expect Wells will be dealt before the season begins, because he cant stop running his mouth.

Your right, they will finish second to AL East Champions Boston, the Yankees will falter and finish third.
Everyones concerned about Bostons pitching? how about NY Johnson, Mussina whos career is in a downward spiral, Wang, Small and Chacon may only be one year wonders. Pavano is hurt and Wright, well no one knows whats up with him.

And how about those Red Sox? Schilling and Wakefield (who's bad days are really really bad), Wells definately losing his touch. Beckett, Clement, and Papelbon are still relatively unknown quantities.
Chacon and Wang will be fine, maybe not #1 starters, but fine. Wright will be alright when he's not injured, and Johnson is now only good as opposed to great. Mussina's still a decent pitcher, even on the back end of his career. And our bullpen still has Mo Rivera.
Oh, and we got your leadoff hitter:rotateh:
Damon, CF
Jeter, SS
Rodriguez, 3B
Giambi, 1B
Sheffield, RF
Matsui, LF
Posada, C
Cano, 2B
Williams, DH
I think we'll be just fine, thanks for asking.:D

Damon, CF << Another Bernie in CF
Jeter, SS << Ok hes clutch
Rodriguez, 3B << CHOKE ARTIST IN BIG GAMES
Giambi, 1B << STEROIDS
Sheffield, RF << STEROIDS
Matsui, LF << Overrated
Posada, C << HAS BEEN
Cano, 2B << could be another Jeter
Williams, DH << Time to pull the guitar out
I think we'll be just fine, thanks for asking.:D
Typical Yankee fan, brush off the sox as bad and unknown while praising the pethetic rotation they have. Mussina 10 earned runs today. and dont give me the ITS ONLY SPRING TRAINING line. Johnson will be lucky to win 15 games and how can you say Wang and Chacon will be all right while brushing aside Papelbon, Clement and Beckett as relatively unknown. Im sure you and ur pinstripe pinhead yankee loving friends remeber how he dominated your bombers in 2003 world series.
Ya you still got Mo. But what good is a closer who cant close out the Red Sox?

Ahh, the one-hit wonders strike again. Only 85 seasons 'til your next ring:p
I'm not brushing off the Sox as bad, they'll still be contenders. However, that staff of yours still had the worst ERA in the AL last year, and your bullpen is still in more pieces than a jigsaw puzzle. Perhaps it was unfair to boost up Wang and put down Beckett and Co., but I reserve the right to have my own biases too. However, Chacon is a decent pitcher who spent his career in Colorado, and now relishes pitching in NY. I stand by the assertion that he will be just fine.

The Blue Jays will finish around .500 this year about 12 games out. Burnett is already having elbow issues and that astronomical money they gave to BJ Ryan was a joke. He stinks.
Funny how everyone wrote the Yankees off last year and they still won the division with a patchwork pitching staff.

My thoughts exactly
Willie, IMO is not much different than a young Manny though. Both can hit, and honestly Pena has more power than Manny, and neither is a good defensive player.
